The Team
Who We Are

I was born on Vancouver Island and raised in Grande Prairie. My hobbies outside of pole include writing, poetry, modeling, hosting events and spending time with friends and family. I discovered pole in 2014 at a home based studio and started regularly taking classes in 2015. Our studio opened in 2017 and I came here with the people I had began pole with. I have been on my pole journey since then. I started teaching in 2019 after getting certified through Xpert in 2018. I have a passion for anything pole! I also enjoy Aerial hoop. I hope to one day compete or to become a coach and help others compete!
I love all of my students and watching them grow on their own journey, I love the look on their faces and the adrenaline they get when accomplishing the goals they never thought were possible!

Kerrie has been an integral part of RRebel Academy since day one. She is one of our most experienced instructors. If she's not teaching a flexibility class, you can find her subbing, instructing privates, or working out with her precious grand daughter. She makes every discipline look easy and certainly has tried them all (even flying pole!).

Starting her fitness path entailed becoming a certified group fitness instructor and taking classes at GP pole fit. Kerrie has since advanced her training by taking a flexibility coaching program.

Joining one of Kerries' classes is fun, light hearted and are sure to help you work towards attaining your aerial goals.

I was born and raised in Grande Prairie. I teach both aerial silks and hammock. Outside of the studio some of my hobbies include crochet, cross-stitch and building puzzles. I also enjoy all things Disney, Star Wars and Harry Potter.
I started at the studio taking hammock classes in fall 2018. Shortly after that I also started taking silks classes. I enjoy both disciplines but silks is definitely my favourite. I am certified through Xpert. I have taught all levels of both classes but currently teach primarily silks. Seeing students achieve a move for the first time is one of the most exciting things about teaching!

I discovered aerial hammock in 2019 at this studio with some friends! I fell in love with the sport and how it felt to accomplish a move after so much hard work. In 2020, I started teaching kids classes. I love encouraging my students and seeing them develop confidence in themselves. Taking pole and hoop classes are very enjoyable, but hammock and silks are my favorite.

I’m Maci-J’lynn, but everyone calls me MJ! I grew up in Grande Prairie living a very active lifestyle. I was a multi sport athlete growing up, but chose to commit to volleyball in high school. Just before my senior year, I discovered aerial arts at Rrebel Academy. I went to my first pole drop in and was instantly hooked! I then tried aerial hammocks and that’s when I knew this was something I wanted to stick with.
I’ve been doing aerial arts for almost 3 years now on and off. Hammocks is my main discipline, but I also do pole and have just started learning silks. In January 2024, I got the opportunity to combine two passions of mine, aerial hammocks and working with children. I started off by just instructing kids hammocks, but now instruct both kids and adult classes.
My favourite part of the job is seeing my students progress and celebrating them when they hit a milestone! My goal is to make my students feel empowered and comfortable with trying new things. I will always celebrate my students and be their biggest cheerleader!
